I love going all out on a theme and for me that means the activities and how it looks… although I believe the activities are more important than the decorations!
The perfect pirate party takes the guests on a pirate adventure, each of the activities are linked together to create a story and throughout the party the kids collect elements of their pirate costume ‘party bag’
Activity 1: Pirate Bootcamp
The guests are invited to join your crew… They receive a pirates bandana and must complete a pirate bootcamp such as ‘digging for buried treasure’, ‘walking the plank’, ‘walking on the deck when the sea is rough’.
Activity 2: The map!
All good party needs a pirate map. But ours is scattered in pieces around the room! The guests must find all the pieces and put the map together!
Activity 3: Following the Map!
Using the map as the guide, the pirate party guests will explore the 7 seas to find the x that marks the spot! They will encounter obstacles on the way so be ready!
During this activity each pirate should receive a telescope!
Activity 4: Sail!
Although we’ve sailed the seas on our vessel, the guests must each make and decorate their own boat to sail to the ocean. They will create a boat that can be taken home!
Activity 5: X marks the spot!
The pirate crew find a large X that marks the spot… but next to it is a clue! They must follow all the clues to find the treasure!
Activity 6: A locked Chest!
They found the treasure but the chest is locked!
The crew must find the keys scattered everywhere and try them in the lock! Once they find the correct keys the chest will open, revealing chocolate coins and an eye patch to complete the pirates look!
As you can hopefully see, there is a clear narrative that runs through the party. Each activity is linked to the next, and without completing other activities and puzzles they cannot pass onto the next one.
