Elf Quest 101 - How to

Writing a quest takes time... but you can do it if you know how!

Here is our 101 on writing an elf quest.

Lets write an elf quest!

I'm going to be honest, writing any quest takes lots of time and thought on how everything fits together. However, with some simple steps to help you along the process you too could give it a go!

  1. Decide on the jeopardy! Why wont Christmas happen this year?

  2. Based on the jeopardy, decide on how your kids might ' fix' it - i.e. what kind of puzzles you want to complete

  3. How long do you want the quest to last - how many days would you like to cover? Do you have any traditions you would like to still do on some of the days - e.g. the arrival and departure of your elf you may not want to include.

  4. Start writing your story as note cards introducing each puzzles

  5. If you have enough days, perhaps also introduce activities too.

  6. Add a final note card that is a celebration of the success!

  7. Once the note cards are done, create the props and puzzles you will be using!

Have fun writing your quest, if like so many you need a little short cut do take a look at our elf quests available to instantly download now!
