Introducing
Chilean Patagonia
For anyone who has ever been fascinated by geography, the long, impossibly thin line of Chile has always produced a tiny moment of astonishment. Chile stretches over 4,300 km along the southwestern coast of South America, a distance roughly the same as that from San Francisco to New York, or Edinburgh to Baghdad. At the same time, its width never exceeds 240 km, making the country more than eighteen times longer than its widest point.

Because of its geography, Chile is a country of startling contrasts and extreme beauty, with attractions ranging from the towering volcanic peaks of the Andes to the ancient forests of the Lake District. There is a multitude of very good parks, and plenty of opportunities for fine adventure travel. Adventure Quests is thrilled to introduce two of the finest adventure travel locations in Chile - Torres del Paine National Park and Cochamo Valley.

park, is internationally recognized as one of the most beautiful, unique and uncontaminated places in the world. It is a place of lakes, rivers, waterfalls, glaciers, forests and incredible wildlife. One of the main attractions of the park is the Macizo (Massif) of Paine, formed predominately from granite and with origin dating back millions of years. The National Park, which covers 181,000 hectares of land, boosts different vegetation in each different zone and many animals species, is a massive, world class trekking destination and a must-visit place for all outdoor enthusiasts.

Cochamo Valley

Cochamó Valley is a U-shaped valley

located in the Andes, in North Patagonia & the Los Lagos (Lake District) Region of Chile. The valley, with its sheer 1000m granite walls & domes, dazzling waterfalls, and a crystalline, trout-filled river, has a striking similarity to Yosemite Valley. It is also home to the ancient Alerces trees, which can grow up to 50m tall & has a life span of 3000 years. Famously known as "The Chilean Yosemite" and with no roads but only trails penetrating the valley, it has become a trekker's paradise, climber's mecca and nature lover's haven. Beyond being a world class rock climbing destination, it is popular for trekking, horse riding, kayaking, fly fishing and other outdoor activities.

Be it a trek in Torres Del Paine or horse riding in Cochamo Valley, an adventure trip to Chile will most certainly be a world best journey that will be a part of you forever!
