The Moroccan Sahara, which is the start of the Sahara desert, offers far more than sand dunes. It is a place of great beauty and peace dotted with oasis towns, dramatic gorges and fertile valleys against the backdrop of the spectacular Atlas Mountains.
Using a combination of camels, trekking on foot and 4WD, you get to the very fringes of the true Sahara desert, passing through the highest and most extensive dunes in Morocco in this 12 days journey. For the adventurous traveller, the vast Moroccan Sahara desert is well worth the long journey.
