4D Mulu Caves Discovery (ex Kota Kinabalu)

MULU NATIONAL PARK is a 540 square kilometre extravaganza of tropical rain forest situated between the Tutoh and Limbang Rivers of Sarawak. Beneath its majestic forest canopy there are thousands of species of plants and animals that live in an environment that includes all the different types of tropical forest found on the island of Borneo. Apart from the rich diversity of plant and animal life found in Mulu, the majestic limestone caves are a wonderful sight to behold. In November 2000 Mulu National Park was awarded the status of World Heritage Site.

Day 1
Upon arrival in Kota Kinabalu, to catch the connecting flight in the afternoon to Mulu. Transfer to and check into accomodation in the Park. Rest of day at leisure.
Day 2
Visit 4 caves during the day including Lang Cave and Deer Cave which has the world's largest cave entrance. You will get a chance to walk through primary forest on a boardwalk and take a longboat upriver to Wind Cave and Clearwater Cave where you can swim, relax & enjoy a picnic lunch. At sunset, watch the spectacular exodus of 2 million of bats from the caves.
Day 3
After breakfast, there is time to explore the surrounding forests looking for pitcher plants before the transfer to Mulu airport for flight back to Kota Kinabalu, where you will have the evening free to enjoy a seafood dinner.
Day 4

Transfer to KK airport for flight back to Singapore

Optional Extension

You may like to extend for a day to visit the other World Heritage Site on Borneo - Kinabalu National Park. Take a dip in the Poring Hotsprings and explore the park that is at the base of the highest peak in South-East Asia.
