Tour du Mont Blanc

Hiking around the Mont Blanc through Switzerland, Italy and France in 10 days !

Covering a distance of 170 kilometers in 10 days the Tour du Mont Blanc (TMB) is not just a great challenge but also one of the most scenic long distance walks in the world! You will circle the Mont Blanc massive passing through Italian, Swiss and French villages. Beside the Mont Blanc you will hike close to impressive peaks, huge glaciers and charming mountain lakes.

To participate on the Tour du Mont Blanc (TMB) you should have a reasonable fitness and be able to walk between 15 to 20 kilometers with around 1000 meters ascent a day. We will stay in traditional villages, hostels and mountain huts. We tailored the route so it can be completed in 10 days.

If departing/returning to Singapore, the total number of days required will be 13 days (1 extra day to go, 2 extra days to return).  The most popular point of entry is Geneva, from where you transfer to Chamonix, the world-famous resort and mountaineering center in France.

Day 0 Arrive in Geneva and transfer to Chamonix.
Day 1 Our tour starts in Les Houches a small village next to Chamonix. Hike to Les Contamines where we will end the first day.
Day 2 From Les Contamines village, we walk to the village of Le Chapieux.
Day 3

Today we walk from Chapieux to the Refugio Elisabetta Soldini.

Day 4
Hike from the Refugio Elisabetta Soldini to our overnight destination the Rifugio Bertone.
Day 5
Today we get accompanied by impressive views over the Grandes Jorasses massive. We will stay over the night at the Refuge Elena.
Day 6 A great hike to the small village of Issert .
Day 7

A long walk from Issert to Trient 

Day 8
From Trient we walk to Tré-le-Champ, a charming little mountain village.
Day 9 Famous hike from Tré-le-Champ over the Grand Balcon Sud, passing the Lac Blanc is waiting for us. Either from Flégère or from Planpraz we walk down to the Europe`s outdoor capital Chamonix.
Day 10 After 10 days will arrive proudly at our final destination Les Houches! We will celebrate the successful completed TMB with a well deserved cold drink!
Day 1x Transfer to Geneva for return flight home.

Question Answer
Transfers between Geneva and Chamonix NOT included in the tour price.  Transport can be arranged in mini-bus on shared-basis with other travellers for around $40 per pax each way.
Accommodation before & after trek NOT included in the tour price.  There are many type of accommodation available at Chamonix - Les Houches, ranging from budget hostels, B&B to deluxe 5-star hotels.  Prices range from around $45 (dorm bed with BB) to over $450 (4 stars hotel room) per night.
Meals on trek All meals during the trek from day 1 to 10 are included.
Luggage transfer on/during trek Not included in the tour price. Hikers are expected to carry their own luggage (backpacks).  This service can be included at an additional surcharge of $400.
How tough is the trek? To participate on the TMB you should have a reasonable fitness and be able to walk between 15 to 20 km with a loaded backpack (up to 8kg aided or at least 8kg unaided without luggage transfers).  The terrain is undulating with around 1000 meters ascent AND descent each day.
