9 Days Punakha Trek

Bhutan, known to her people as ‘Druk Yul’ (Land of the Thunder Dragon) has never failed to mesmerized her visitors. She is as much known for her awesome landscapes and architecture, as for her rich and colourful cultural heritage. Land-locked and surrounded by the Himalayan mountain range, the awe-inspiring valleys and mountain passes, sprawling glaciers, stupendous waterfalls, crystal lakes, deep gorges and vast undulating flower-studded meadows will take anyone’s breath away and offers great opportunity for trekking.

This 9-day trip covers a pleasant 3 days' short trek with leisurely walks over the hills from Dechencholing to Punakha. The low altitude makes it a relatively easy trek, pretty at all seasons.

Giving Back Program

A small token of each payment of this package will be given to sponsoring young monks from economically disadvantaged families awaiting formal enrolment in Monastic Schools in Bhutan. This small contribution is done through our local partner and in close collaboration with the Youth Development Fund founded by Her Majesty Azhi Tshering Pem Wangchuck to build funds for the youths of Bhutan. Under the project, these monks will be able to enrol and receive proper monastic education.
